Your Traditional Local
The Cricketers Broadwater has prided itself on being a traditional local pub since c.1756 and that traditional style is carried on by its team of friendly staff. As you enter the pub you are met with an array of cricketing photos past and present, old nic nacs line the picture rail that remind you of an age gone by and the decor is inviting and cosy.
Blackboards list the current selection of award winning real ales on offer and change at a phenomenal rate as the pub regularly goes through over one hundred different ales in a year. The wine list has a quality feel at good value prices and an array of your favourite spirits are always on offer.
The menu lists your favourite pub classics with an emphasis on dishes being prepared freshly on site using ingredients sourced from local sussex producers and suppliers.
This 5.6% trans-atlantic fusion IPA is light golden in colour with tropical fruits and light caramel on the nose. The palate soon becomes assertive and resinous with the New Zealand hops balanced by the biscuit malt. The finish is aggressive and dry with the hops emerging over the warming alcohol.
This fresh, full flavour natural beer is our tribute to the classic IPAs of yester-year. The post modern twist is the addition of amazing fruity hops giving an explosion of tropical fruit flavours and a sharp bitter finish.
"THE SUNDAY SESSION" LIVE MUSIC
Live music re starts at The Cricketers in November with "THE SUNDAY SESSION" instead of our Friday Night spot. All gigs will start at 4pm and we will host an array of new acts intertwined with some of the more familiar faces to entertain you with some music. So why not book yourself in for one of our traditional roasts first, then listen to some great music afterwards.
